Writer of Blackish and Sherlock Holmes writer is in talks for a TV show

Sherlock Holmes author and screenwriter Lillian Hellman has reportedly been in talks to write a pilot for a new BBC show.

The BBC has been trying to find a way to take a series of books written by Holmes into the 21st century and has already produced a TV adaptation of the classic detective novels, including The Adventure of the Abominable Bride and The Hound of the Baskervilles.

Hellman was also one of the writers behind The Adventure Of The Abominably Cursed Bride and Sherlock has been working on a new series of Sherlock stories.

In an interview with the New York Times, Hellman talked about how she came up with the idea for The Adventure.

“Sherlock Holmes is a fantastic writer and I loved working on his books,” she said.

“I feel that the story I want to tell about Holmes is one of his great mysteries, one that I’ve really enjoyed, and so it’s just really exciting to see what’s next. “

“It’s an ambitious thing, to make something that I’m interested in.” “

It’s not the first time the BBC has looked to a new Holmes to take on its mysteries, with The Abomination Of The Baskerville series being the first to be adapted from a single Holmes story. “

It’s been a while since Holmes was in the public eye and now the character is in his 70s, but the author of the series is no stranger to TV.

In 2014, she penned the BBC’s Sherlock Holmes and its spin-off Sherlock Holmes: The Ababominable Detective novels, as well as the short story collection The Adventure, a collection of short stories by a variety of authors including Stephen King and Peter Straub.

The Adventure is currently in the US on Amazon Prime and is available to buy on digital platforms, and will be released to the public on DVD later this year.

The next Sherlock Holmes book is likely to be Sherlock Holmes The Abbompton.

The new series is expected to air sometime in the summer of 2020.
